The road to Rhodes from our hotel. As you can see, this was not the sort of weather that we wanted.
The moat around the old town. The weather had improved after we got off the coach and started our walk. This entrance is known as the D'Amboise Gate.

The view of the beach at Lindos. This picture was taken from the area above the village, but before climbing the steps to the Temple of Athena.
At the bottom of the steps to the Temple of Ahena are two monuments. An exedra (platform) and a trireme (ship in relief). The Lindians carved this out of the rock in order to pay their respect to Agesandros, the Greek god of Hades (the god who carries away all men).
The stairway leading to Lindos Acropolis - Rhodes (Ακρόπολη Λίνδου - Ρόδος). Just at the top (on the left going up) there is no barrier and it's a sheer drop - so hang on to the kids.

Also in Rhodini Park is this tree. Not sure what it is though. A pillar had to be built to support the branch.

This is Nikos, the waiter at our hotel (Sun Beach, Ialysos, Rhodes).
The swimming pool at our hotel. As this was the beginning of the season it was very quite, apart from the birds flying down and having a drink out of the pool.
Another picture of Nikos, this time with Maria.
Drinks at the bar were served to us by Michalis.
The entrance to the taverna we went to for our evening meal...just before getting the flight home. It's called Skalakia and is in the small village of Pastida.
The entertainment at Skalakia's was provided by two locals.
